Welcome to the Fostering in Algoma website. We are four non-profit agencies each offering fostering programs for children and youth within the District of Algoma. Here you will find information about how you can become a foster parent and help the most vulnerable children in your community.

 

Children's Aid Society of Algoma serves children and youth where family problems are serious enough to require a temporary period of time out of the home. Our agency offers both regular and intervention foster care programs. Click here to visit our website

Algoma Family Services assists children and youth in the community who are experiencing social, emotional and family problems. We offer children and families treatment foster care programming. Click here to visit our website

Nog-Da-Win-Da-Min Family and Community Services is a child welfare prevention Agency that works in collaboration with the seven member First Nations in ensuring that children, youth and families receive culturally appropriate services. There are three types of Alternative (Foster) Care homes; Regular Home, Relief Home, and Emergency Home. Click here to visit our website.

Community Living Algoma supports children and youth in the community who have intellectual disabilities. We offer a regular foster care program aimed at strengthening and sustaining the child/youth's relationship with his or her own family as circumstances allow. Click here to visit our website..
